In June 2015, a friend and I took a two week trip to Seattle and Vancouver. We stayed in Seattle for five full days. While we were there we stayed at the City Hostel in downtown. We saw everything you could possibly see, including: Pike Place Market, Olympic Sculpture Park Beach, Myrtle Edwards Park, the Seattle Center, Seattle Central Library, the Harbor Steps, the Gum Wall and Kerry Park. One morning we took a bus from our hostel all the way up to the national park, Mt. Rainier. We spent roughly six hours hiking every inch of land we could.

The eastern ledge trail is the newest addition to Euclid Creek Reservation. It’s about 1 mile out and back, took us around 45 minutes. There are some stairs but otherwise it’s a very easy hike with a nice scenic view at the top!
so far we’ve logged 74.5/1,000 so far. so happy with all we’ve been able to do! the trip to Florida made a huge difference for January and early February. This will be one of the harder months to keep hours up!
I posted this to my story, but I really love this image and wanted it to have a permanent place on my feed.
That tiny sliver of snow/ice looked like the only part remotely safe to walk on. I love walking on the lake when it’s frozen but these conditions definitely looked a little questionable even for me! makes for a cool photo though 😅
a break in my wintery Ohio feed to share about our recent *winter survival trip*
Ending the month with almost 50 hours outside!! Last January we only got 9 TOTAL so we clearly made a huge effort this month. Also, a few days in Florida gave us a nice bump at the end of the month!
