Family-Friendly Itinerary for Grand Rapids, MI
Our family loves a good road trip and Grand Rapids, MI checked off all the boxes for a family-friendly destination for us to visit! Located near the Grand River, on the east side of the state, it’s just over a four hour drive from the Cleveland area. My husband and I visited a few years ago when I was pregnant with our first child, so we were excited to return with two more members of our family to enjoy everything the city had to offer. Here is a breakdown of all the family-friendly activities we did while in Grand Rapids. *Special thanks to Experience Grand Rapids for curating a wonderful…

An Outdoorsy Adventure Weekend in Fort Wayne, IN
I have become a huge fan of visiting cities where we can easily walk places, have tons to do, and also get our fill of nature all in one. As someone who lives in Cleveland, I have high standards thanks to our Metroparks being consistently rated one of the best in the nation. So, when the city of Fort Wayne reached out to work together I was intrigued. I’m not going to lie, I don’t know much about the state of Indiana and have spent very little time there, so I was going into this trip pretty blind. However, I am so glad we said yes and spent a weekend…

Kid-Friendly Itinerary for Wilmington, NC and Island Beaches
We recently had the pleasure of traveling to Wilmington, NC for a long weekend of family-friendly activities. With the weather still a bit chilly in Ohio, we were excited to spend a few days in some warmer weather by the ocean. The city of Wilmington may be full of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. If you’re looking for blue water, strong surf, a charming historic downtown and a place to bring the whole family, consider Wilmington and island beaches for your next coastal vacation. Where to Stay We stayed at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, and it was a gorgeous spot with easy beach access. You…

48 Hour Trip to Denver, CO
My husband and I had flight credits with Frontier that were expiring soon, so we had to decide where we wanted to go for a quick 48 hour trip. With limited direct flight options from Cleveland, it was basically somewhere in Florida or Denver. We took our chances knowing the weather is unpredictable and chose Denver. It’s been several years since either of us had been there. Even though it was only a 48 hour trip to Denver, we still jam packed as much as we could in our limited time. Here’s all the details from our 48 hour trip to Denver: For lodging, we stayed downtown at Hotel Teatro.…

Two Days of Adventures in Springfield, Ohio
Peaceful horseback riding, scenic kayaking, live music, mouthwatering food, scenic parks and clean, comfortable accommodations… Did you know all of these things can be found in Springfield, Ohio? Exploring different regions of Ohio is one of my favorite things to do (if that wasn’t made obvious by my account), so I was really excited when I got the opportunity to work with Ohio.Find It Here. and Springfield CVB to explore an area I haven’t been able to spend much time — southwest Ohio – specifically the greater Springfield area. My friend and I had never been to this part of the state before, so he was just as excited as…
